Hi! I'm Eliza...
Born and raised in Floyd County, Indiana, my parents gifted me an appreciation for the arts and the belief that "anything is possible," despite our difficult financial circumstances.
In 2019, I graduated from high school and began my education at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, where I graduated earlier this year with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Musical Theatre. My collegiate education consisted of both classical and contemporary training in the disciplines of singing, acting, and dancing. Over the past four years, I have worked on a total of eight theatrical productions, including workshops, staged readings, new works, and fully-fledged productions. My class and I navigated COVID-19 throughout the majority of our collegiate career, being caught in the midst of a pandemic halfway through our freshman year. Since then, we have overcome industry challenges in an educational setting. "Overcoming" circumstance has been a theme of the past four years of my life. I was able to afford my education in full due to the scholarship I received from competing in the Miss America Opportunity. In December 2022, I received the national talent preliminary award at Miss America, representing my beloved home state! Now, as a former Miss Indiana, I give back as a volunteer. Additionally, I work as a talent coach for young women all over the country hoping to grow as vocalists, actors, and public speakers, through a small business I co-own, 1822 Studios, and as a stylist at House of K Boutique in New Albany, IN. My most recent passion projects include writing, learning the guitar, and crocheting (which I have learned I am not, in fact, very good at!). I am an animal person, except when it comes to goats, and I am skilled at social media management and event planning, which I use in my everyday life! |
