Hi, I'm Eliza!Born and raised in Floyd County, Indiana, my parents gifted me an appreciation for the arts and the belief that "anything is possible." I moved away from home in 2019 to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Today, I am working toward my degree, set to graduate this upcoming spring. I love celebrating the accomplishments of women through the arts, sciences, and social world as an artist. Additionally, as part of a multicultural family, I am a proud third generation Lebanese-American, passionate about telling stories that reflect my family's tenacity in a new world. On June 18, 2022, I was selected as Miss Indiana after bringing my love for musical theatre to the stage, performing a daring rendition of Defying Gravity from the hit Broadway musical Wicked for the talent competition and winning several preliminary awards, including talent, overall vocalist, red carpet, and the performing arts scholarship. Additionally, I was named a Quality of Life finalist for my work with The Triple A Project: Accessibility to the Arts for All, a self-founded initiative committed to making creative opportunities more equitable. I have spent my year of service so far traveling the state of Indiana, promoting both arts accessibility and scholarships for young women, as awarded through the Miss America Organization. This December, I competed for the job of Miss America 2023, placing in the Top 7 in the nation and taking home the preliminary talent award. Making a move into social media management, I am the founder of eliza Creative Media. Additionally, I am a podcast host, emcee, and vocal coach. An avid writer, I love finding unique ways to express myself through words. When not at my desk, you can find me roller skating, learning to play the guitar, at my yoga mat, or at a local restaurant with my friends discussing our favorite Taylor Swift songs. |
